Pictures of Flowers Images to Inspire
When you're serious about taking pictures of flowers, it's important to develop your own style. One way is to look at other photographers' flower pictures. Keep a file of your favorites. Study them and decide why you like those particular photos. When you know why, go out and try to take similar garden or flower pictures. Eventually, you'll find all your flower images are consistent. And your friends will be able to tell that you were the photographer. I added another camera to my bag last spring... Yup, a video camera! What a blast! I looked into a few different models and finally settled on a Canon VIXIA HF200. The video quality is fabulous. Now it takes me three times as long to get through a garden! I'm just editing one of my first efforts - the peonies in the spring rain. The sound of the raindrops is so relaxing... the singing birds and busy insects. You'll be able to view it in a few days. Taking video pictures of flowers is not much different than taking still flower photos. Study the manual carefully... the basic rules are the same for both kinds of cameras. If you have a video camera, put it on a tripod... take an umbrella and get out into the garden with the birds, the bees and the rain.
Flower Photo Galleries What's YOUR Favorite Flower?

“A ROSE by any other name would smell as sweet..” Roses are THE symbol of romance. And there are LOTS of these seductive flowers to choose from.

ORCHID - “Flower of Magnificence” Some strikingly photogenic flowers belong to the Orchid family. But orchids are persnickity... the snobs of the garden.

IRIS - “Royalty, Hope, Light and Power” Irises are among my favorite flowers to photograph. And they're named after an enchanting goddess.

DAYLILY - “Fleeting Nature of the Flower” Daylilies are resilient and frequent most every flower garden. Hemerocallis blooms each last but one day.
TULIP - “A Declaration of Love” Tulips are really a member of the Lily family. Flashy in fringed, sleek, rounded or pointed petals -- a brilliantly colorful group.

SPRING BULBS - welcome spring with open arms! The snowdrops, colorful daffodils, flashy crocuses and more... warm up your heart in the early spring.

SUNFLOWERS - the flowers of happiness. These Sun Gods are symbols of loyalty, and devotion. They always stand strong and steady, even in stormy weather.
