When you're serious about taking pictures of flowers, it's important to develop your own photographic style. One way is to devote a lot of time to studying other photographers' flower pictures. I've been playing with video this spring and it's a blast! I researched a few different video cameras and settled on a Canon VIXIA HF200. The video quality is fabulous. Compressing for the web decreases that extraordinary quality considerably but it's still pretty impressive. I've only had the camera a few months but it's become a constant companion. If you want to push your pictures of flowers and gardens up a notch, why not try out a video camera? In the meantime, how about taking a couple of minutes to check out the peonies with me during this spring shower?
Spring showers put a smile on my face. The sound of the raindrops is relaxing, the birds just keep right on singing away and the insects never seem to quit their business. So take an umbrella to protect your camera and get out there right alongside the birds and the bees.... If you'd rather watch my video, then how about downloading it so you can play it anytime and listen to the rain? There's a little button right beside the volume control. Maybe a friend of yours would appreciate if you'd share... there's another little button that says "share". Send your friend a link! Have you thought about sharing those excellent photos of flowers that you're going to take this year? Look into some online photo sharing services like Flickr or Shutterfly. You can go directly to Flickr and start uploading your pictures of flowers. Everyone gets a thrill out of looking at their photos online and sharing them with friends. I use Shutterfly. Click here to look at Shutterfly's services. They promise never to delete your files and their storage is free and unlimited. There are many more online photo sharing services... Google them if you're a “comparative shopper”.

I've spent endless hours wandering through gardens and along rivers... hiking around parks and shamelessly prying into neighbors' backyards just to add to my library of flower photos. I put my flower photo galleries together with you in mind! Pick one or more and check 'em out... If you love roses, click on the rose. Or tulips, click on the tulip. Whichever flower photo gallery you choose, there are photography tips for you to follow to make your pictures of flowers shine! And always feel free to contact me if you don't find the information you need.
Choose From My Flower Photo Galleries What's YOUR Favorite Flower?

“A ROSE by any other name would smell as sweet..” Roses are THE symbol of romance. And there are LOTS of these seductive flowers to choose from.

ORCHID - “Flower of Magnificence” Some strikingly photogenic flowers belong to the Orchid family. But orchids are persnickity... the snobs of the garden.

IRIS - “Royalty, Hope, Light and Power” Irises are among my favorite flowers to photograph. And they're named after an enchanting goddess.

DAYLILY - “Fleeting Nature of the Flower” Daylilies are resilient and frequent most every flower garden. Hemerocallis blooms each last but one day.
TULIP - “A Declaration of Love” Tulips are really a member of the Lily family. Flashy in fringed, sleek, rounded or pointed petals -- a brilliantly colorful group.
